Most First Sessions Are Messy. That's Information, Not Failure.
Problem 1: Child refused to engage with emergency materials
Why: Materials may feel "scary" or unfamiliar. The emergency context signals threat.
Fix: Introduce materials during play with zero emergency framing first. Let child hold/examine ID card as a "special sticker" before using it in scenario.
Problem 2: Child used materials correctly in practice but panicked in a real drill
Why: Stress response overrides practiced behavior when emotional intensity is much higher than practice.
